After Making Example of Jon Rahm, PGA Tour Expects Vaccinations to Increase Significantly: Opinion

The PGA Tour wants to jab healthy young men with an experimental vaccine that has resulted in about *5,000 reported deaths, and all kinds of other **side effects such as heart-related issues.

UPDATE Breaking: CDC finally realizes they have a serious problem with heart inflammation, particularly among young men (e.g. PGA Tour golfers).

All to fight a flu-like virus.

Wait. I thought COVID was a death sentence?

Nope. Not for the young and/or healthy. I’ve had covid. It’s exactly like the flu. I mean former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who weighs about 900 pounds, had COVID and beat it.

Now if you’re old and/or have underlying conditions, it can be dangerous. But so is pneumonia and the flu. That’s why high risk patients SHOULD be vaccinated. It’s a bet well worth taking. But it’s stupid for young and healthy to become guinea pigs for an experimental vaccine that has no long term data.

But the PGA Tour really, really wants its players to be vaccinated so much so that we predicted you’d start seeing more players suddenly testing positive for COVID which would act as a forcing function.

Today the PGA Tour went full-on mob and took out the top unvaccinated dog who was leading by six shots (romping the world’s best players while infected with a virus, mind you).

Jon Rahm lost so much more than money on Saturday night. He lost a win (which are not easy to come by), stats, legacy, world ranking points, FedExCup points, etc.

It was a clear warning shot to others who think they’ll go unvaccinated.

“Nice lead you have there. Be ashame if you lost it when holding an insurmountable lead after three rounds.”

Afterwards, Andy Levinson, the PGA Tour’s VP, said he envisions a significant increase in vaccines.

“You know, of course we would like to see the number higher, but full vaccination is two full weeks past the completion of a cycle,” said Levinson.

“So let’s look at the Moderna vaccine, for example. That’s a six-week process. And you’re looking at a population of a lot of young people who may not have even necessarily been eligible in their hometowns until mid-April.

“So we’re really starting to see that percentage of people uploading their full vaccination record, that’s really starting to increase significantly over the last two weeks and I expect it to continue.”

*SOURCE: CDC: Reports of Death After COVID-19 Vaccination

Over 285 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through May 24, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 4,863 reports of death (0.0017%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. (VAERS is generally 6 weeks behind on reporting, so deaths are assumed to be well over 5,000 by now.)

  1. The author claims that the PGA Tour wants to inject golfers with a vaccine that caused 5000 deaths. Which vaccine is that? To my knowledge, all of the vaccines that have received emergency FDA approval are safe. It is a public disservice to spread unsubstantiated rumors that the vaccines are unsafe. As for the virus itself being safe to young, healthy people … the problem is that anyone who catches the disease incubates the virus in his body. That gives Covid a host in which to live for approximately 2 weeks, and then spread it to someone else. The long-term consequence is that, rather than our society reaching herd immunity, the virus keeps circulating, mutating and eventually will kill elderly or ill people in the future.
      • Ironic that these are the same folks who were screaming covid wasn’t a big deal because of “co-morbidity”. It’s a shame that willfully ignorant ppl like Jeff Smith are getting any coverage at all.

Reminds me of that Upton Sinclair quote, “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.”

      • You said caused, those numbers just simply indicate a person died sometime after receiving a vaccine.
“A review of available clinical information, including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records has not established a causal link to COVID-19 vaccines. However, recent reports indicate a plausible causal relationship between the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine and a rare and serious adverse event—blood clots with low platelets—which has caused deaths”

Your article is Incorrect based on the source you have linked in this reply.

      • Even if you attribute all 5,000 deaths to the vaccines (which, as others have noted is a flawed premise), that represents a .0036% fatality rate. Many things Americans do every day are riskier. And not getting the vaccine exposes other golfers, media members and fans who may be at higher risk.
        • Even if you attribute all 5,000 deaths to the vaccine (which is of course illogical), given the 285 million vaccines administered between December 2020 and May 2021, the odds of death are roughly 1 in 100,000. By comparison, the odds of being killed by a hurricane are 1:67,000, the odds of being stung to death by an insect are 1:59,500, and the odds of being struck by lightning in your lifetime are 1:16,000. You’d be 10 times more likely to die in a mass shooting. and 100 times more likely to be dealt a royal flush in a single hand. But, as has been stated here, there is no conclusive link between the COVID vaccine and death.
  2. The PGA Tour wants to jab healthy young men with an experimental vaccine that has resulted in over 5,000 deaths.
The Above is a bunch of lies !!!
      • WRONG. NOWHERE does the CDC attribute these deaths to the vaccine itself; its data merely states that the events of death occurred after the events of the vaccine. If a man is killed in an auto accident two days after eating a ham sandwich, nobody could credibly conclude on the basis of those two events that the sandwich resulted in his death. Yet you falsely claim that the vaccine has “resulted in about 5,000 deaths” using this as your source.

Why it matters is because some schlub somewhere will use this article as reference for his false claim, and someone else will cite the schlub as their reference point, and the lie spreads until it is believed as true. It’s the difference between causation and correlation that you may have missed in high school, but someone with a Master’s from BU like PGW founder/publisher Paul Daly should recognize for what it is: basic jouralistic dishonesty.

  3. This is a disgraceful article.
Vaccinations are the only way to beat this virus.
It is wrong to suggest that only people with underlying health conditions experience severe outcomes is not accurate, as are the many other assertions in this article.
It isn’t just about the player as an individual, it is about a responsibility to everyone around us.
Of course he should be getting punished.
If he is so principled about it, he doesn’t have to play.
      • LOL so you don’t understand the information you’re reading and that’s really embarrassing for a man of your age.

Adverse events are ANYTHING that happens in a specified time period after a vaccination. I could get stung by a bee and get a reaction a week after getting vaccinated and it would be reported if sought treatment.

Again, this is really embarrassing for you.

        • Exactly. Those are called unknown long term effects and why vaccines generally have lengthy studies.

FWIW: Now do the same argument with COVID. Where 90-95% of the CDC’s reported deceased did not succumb strictly from the COVID virus, instead they had serious underlying conditions such as pneumonia, diabetes, heart failure, etc.

  4. Rahm could have been vaccinated ages ago as vaccines have been freely available in the US so he was not just “unlucky”

    could have avoided this easily

As well as the money he runs a risk of getting long covid

Having refused the vaccine option is no doubt swallowing / getting injected with right now whatever drugs a doctor says would reduce the long covid risk

  5. Look at the drones in the comments. I got vaccinated a few months ago. It was my choice. This is totalitarian bullsh!t
  6. A pga tour golfer has a much greater chance of dying from the vaccine than he does from covid. But it’s the long term side effects that are even scarier.

Covid you know what it is. You beat it through therapeutics, vitamins etc. You are then immune. I did and so have millions around the world.

The vaccine meanwhile you can still get infected (they laughably call this breakthrough). And you have no idea about the long term side effects as there are no studies.

There is zero long term data as it was rushed and approved for emergency use.

This is a no brainer for a young pro athlete.

    • With Covid raging in Japan, any golfer who still wants to play there must have rocks for brains. They’ll obviously have to be injected before going and get tested daily while there. Who would want to go thru that agony for an event which no one watches and does not count?
    • yeesh, grow up for goodness sakes. Most of us now have had vaccinations with zero side affects yet the ignorant such as yourself feel the need to pass on a bunch of crap lies.
    • You can not “beat” a coronavirus through vitamins LMAO. There have been plenty of people who have gotten covid a second time.

Additionally, any temporary immunity would be limited to the strain you were infected with and the few nearest variants.

In other words, it’s quite clear you have zero medical background whatsoever and sound silly

  7. Wow, just wow. Can’t believe they published this crap. Karma, Mr. Rahm, is a bitch. Get vaccinated people!
  8. You are an idiot. Almost a million people have died in the US because of the virus and many other millions have long term effects. An even bigger idiot is someone that doesn’t get vaccinated when their job requires it. Get vaccinated and have some respect for family, friends, and community. So simple.
    • Those who died strictly from COVID and not an underlying condition is about 5% of the total COVID deaths. Meanwhile flu deaths went from around 3 million in 2019 to almost ZERO in 2020. Nothing odd there. Almost like they rebranded the flu to COVID. -JS

      • Meanwhile excess death in the United States was up above 600k in 2020 from what would be expected in a normal year.
      • Jeff Do you understand what death certificates are? Do you understand statistical analysis? In 2020, there were about a half million more deaths that were expected or projected. The projections are very consistent year in and year out. Yet there was this massive spike in 2020. No rebranding diseases like flu can’t explain excessive deaths which is statically verified through death certificates. Rebranding diseases would cause virtually no statistical increase. So Jeff where are the excessive deaths coming from? Has there been a war?
        • Just to clarify even further. Every time there has been statistical projections about the expected deaths there have been with underlying conditions. My guess is there have been people with underlying conditions since the beginning of the human species itself first formed. You seem to think rebranding diseases with underlying conditions has some effect on the overall Covid death numbers. Do you understand that if someone died to some disease known when the death totals were projected and calculated for 2020 that this is an expected death? Simply rebranding an expected death has zero effect on the overall numbers? Do you understand that simple concept? We are talking about unexpected deaths. Something major, something unknown, something catastrophic would haven’t happen to cause a half million unexpected deaths. Jeff rebranding expected deaths which you’ve done on a number of comments doesn’t get you there.
  9. Death after receiving a vaccine does not mean the vaccine caused the death… as CDC website points out. Did you know that 100% of all deaths come after people breathe?
    • Oh but death after testing positive of covid means covid caused the death and not diabetes or pneumonia or any other underlying condition? The pro-vacciners can’t have it both ways. -JS

      • Pro-vacciners rofl. You are fully beyond reasoning with. Maybe next time cite an author who hasn’t published a book that is laughed at by virtually everyone. Sounds like you should head back to school and get off of twitter. Christ our country is an embarrassment these days.
  10. Superb post. Finally someone with balls. The pga tour needs to have their asses sued.

Btw: they are giving Rahm $100,000 for his losses. Lmao. He would have won $1.8 million and jumped to world No. 1. All kinds playoff points and whatnot. That cannot be replaced. What the pga tour did was earth shattering that will have serious repercussions. They screwed his legacy.

  11. This is dishonest journalism. NOWHERE does the CDC attribute these deaths to the vaccine itself; its data merely states that the events of death occurred after the events of the vaccine. In fact they mention as much in the link.

If a man is killed in an auto accident two days after eating a ham sandwich, nobody could credibly conclude on the basis of those two events that the sandwich resulted in his death. Yet you falsely claim that the vaccine has “resulted in about 5,000 deaths” using this same logic. Why it matters is because some schlub somewhere will use this article as reference for his false claim, and someone else will cite the schlub as their reference point, and the lie spreads until it is believed to be true.

It’s the difference between causation and correlation that you may have missed in high school, but someone with a Master’s from BU like PGW founder/publisher Paul Daly should recognize for what it is, since it’s his reputation that’s at stake more than yours.

  12. Jeff, he didn’t get disqualified because he wasn’t vaccinated. He got disqualified because he tested positive for Covid.
  13. These anti-VAX statements are ridiculous! 600,000 people have died in the United States from Covid, and Covid it is not the common flu! Talk to someone who’s been in a respirator for three weeks and ask them if the if it’s the common flu… Millions of people have died throughout the rest of the world who are not vaccinated… You guys are just afraid of getting the needle, or possibly getting some side effects. I am 84 years old, and healthy..,had both Pfizer shots with no reactions…These ignorant anti-VAX comments are responsible for the death of all the people you talk to about not getting a vaccine! Stop it!
    • If you sat down and had a beer with me, you’d think I was a halfway decent person. I’d at least respect your opinion.
      -JS

  14. What I don’t understand is if the vaccine works then why are the vaccine zealots forcing them on the young and healthy who have zero risk of any serious issues if infected.

If you have been vaccinated then you are protected, correct? Or does the vaccine not work?

    • Fwiw I have been vaccinated. I needed it for my job. If not I’d have probably waited a bit. I’d like to see data to understand the long term side effects. But it is what it is.

I’m just curious why there are some who are authoritarians, screaming and yelling at others to get the jab?

Most people I know who have not gotten the shot have in the past been vaccinated for the flu etc so they’re not anti vaccine per se. They are just wary and hesitant with how it was rushed along as well as the bullying and weird incentives (lottery, giveaways) to get it. That they say raises more suspicion.

  15. Wow, Jeff Smith should be banned from writing anything in the future. Jeff, did Trump also win the last ejection too?
  16. Whom to trust … the collective global scientific and medical community or a hack writer on some golf website citing tweets as evidence LMAO!!
    • I’m not using tweets as evidence. I’m using tweets that cite sources (CDC, VAERS, NY Times, etc) as evidence. But you are correct, I am a hack. Especially on the golf course.

  17. 1,000 Doctors and 10,000 scientists file lawsuit against CDC and WHO.

A team of over 1,000 lawyers and over 10,000 medical experts led by Dr. Reiner Fuellmich have begun legal proceedings against the CDC, WHO & the Davos Group for crimes against humanity.

Fuellmich and his team present the faulty PCR test and the order for doctors to label any comorbidity death as a Covid death as fraud.

The PCR test was never designed to detect pathogens and is 100% faulty at 35 cycles.

All the PCR tests overseen by the CDC are set at 37 to 45 cycles. The CDC admits that any tests over 28 cycles are not admissible for a positive reliable result.

This alone invalidates over 90% of the alleged covid cases / ”infections” tracked by the use of this faulty test.

  18. Neal-

Thanks for the link to the Atlantic article on Alex Berenson. I was bothered by the clams in this article and was going to do some research but that article did it for me.

Please vaccinate people. It’s the right thing to do.

  19. Sorry, one needs to learn how to actually read scientific articles before posting them as “proof” of your claims. As pointed out above, these articles simply don’t show what you have identified them as showing.

Even more to the point, when it comes to myocarditis, yes, there *is* a post-vaccine risk. What your article fails to do is point out that there is a much GREATER risk of myocarditis from contracting COVID-19 directly, even among those who are only mildly symptomatic. The current believed risk is somewhere around 15% in the mildly symptomatic, and it is much, much higher than that in those who have been hospitalized (somewhere around 60%). That’s a ridiculously higher percentage than the 1 in 3000+ you cite with fear from Israel.

There is a very distinct risk that comes from doing nothing, which your article seems to conveniently overlook for some reason.

  20. If you picked up covid before fully vaccine-immune (about 2 weeks after last shot), you still have it. Travelers and family members from around the globe can still give you covid, and consider the mutations and the future of all contagious viruses. The early on superspreader in Boston at a Biogen conference resulted in upward of 300,000 cases, high viral load . Gratitude, Masks and vaccines are good: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/11/world/superspreading-boston-biotech-conference-in-february-is-linked-to-1-9-percent-of-all-us-cases.html
  21. With covid and mutations still very much in the world, travelers and their family members can carry it. People, as Berenson, still stirring the pot cannot admit the truth that things are different now. Masks and vaccines are embraced by the sporting world to good benefit. Early on 2020 superspreader from world Biogen conference caused about 300,000 cases.
  22. BREAKING: Was Jon Rahm given a faulty test, using a bogus PCR thresholds?

    We are investigating. Stay tuned!

  23. You’re clearly having a hard time reading the CDC report on deaths, which says simply that 4,800ish people died after getting a vaccine shot (out of 285 million doses), not that the vaccine caused the deaths. If you don’t understand the science, at least quote it accurately.
  24. I am not even a golf fan, but this is exactly what I was telling my family a few days ago. At best the PGA has an absurd policy. At worst it’s a take down of an individual who cares about personal sovereignty.

The cognitive dissonance is very apparent in this comment section. No one wants to feel they have been lied to, especially if they lost a business and or job because of the reckless way the media and government handled this entire pandemic. I use that word very loosely.

You have a fan here, Jeff.

  25. Jeff thanks for your truth telling… As someone who has to jump the hoops of the tours bogus “covid bubble” i can tell you that this was done on purposes to do exactly what you posit: to embarrass jon rahm and to scare others to get vaccinated…. the tour says that half of players have had the vaccine, yet that’s not true… they are counting the korn ferry tour too and those guys dont have sway to ignore the tours dictates. if you polled the top 50 names on tour – the stars – id say about 10-20% have been vaccinated. tops!
  26. I understand that the piece published in the link below was an opinion, but has this guy issued a retraction? His immature response to reasoned comments and use of poorly sourced data is unbecoming of a journalist of any sort. He simply copy and pasted the same link (that did not back up any of his claims) to every comment that was calling out his bullshit. I would suppose his inability to think critically with the data at hand is perhaps what happens when the former president has ’em by the pussy.’ https://progolfweekly.com/after-making-example-of-jon-rahm-pga-tour-expects-vaccinations-to-increase-significantly/
  27. The majority of the people getting covid received the jab. Let’s stop calling it a vaccine! It’s not one. It’s the first time people have to threatened with losing their job to get the jab for a virus you have to be tested to even know if you have it? How weak is this jab? People with 2 & 3 jabs and boosters still testing positive?? Pathetic
