CRANS-MONTANA, Switzerland — Thriston Lawrence birdied the fourth extra hole Sunday to beat Paul Casey and win the Omega European Masters, completing a remarkable recovery and a hat-trick of titles at Crans-sur-Sierre. Both finished 72 holes at 18-under 262.
Casey, who started the day with a three-shot lead, lipped out a par putt on the 18th green that would have ended it in regulation. They returned to the same par-4 four times. Each made par on the first three playoff holes. Lawrence then made a 3; Casey made a 4.
Lawrence’s path was the more dramatic. After opening 64-63 and taking the halfway lead, the South African tumbled with a third-round 73 and began Sunday well back of Casey. He answered with an 8-under 62, the low round of the championship, to force extra holes.

Casey, a member of Bryson DeChambeau‘s Crushers of the LIV Golf circuit, had seized control Saturday with a 63 and an emotional charge up the board. The 15-time DP World Tour winner closed with a 68 on Sunday.
England’s Harry Hall, a PGA Tour member, finished alone in third at 17 under after a final-day 63. The victory was Lawrence’s third at this event (2022, 2025, 2026). He joins the great Seve Ballesteros as the only players with three DP World Tour-era wins in Crans-Montana.
From the $3.25 million purse, Lawrence earned $636,655 while Casey was awarded $411,953.
