Xander Schauffele, the world No. 3, will miss the 2025 Tour Championship for the first time in his career, snapping an eight-year streak of appearances at East Lake.

The two-time major champion struggled at the BMW Championship, finishing T28 at 3-over 283 despite a final-round 4-under 66 on Sunday at Caves Valley.

Schauffele’s season, marred by a rib injury that sidelined him early in 2025, saw only three top-10 finishes, leaving him outside the FedEx Cup top 30 at No. 43.

“There’s nothing worse than trying your hardest and playing like a**,” a candid Schauffele said post-round, expressing frustration but optimism for a reset before the Ryder Cup.
