Bernd Wiesberger shot a 67 on Saturday and will enter Sunday’s final of the Made in Denmark with a one-shot lead over Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre.

At the Himmerland Golf Resort, the Austrian offset three bogeys with seven birdies, highlighted by three gains in a four-hole stretch (5-8) and a hat trick on Nos. 12, 13, and 14 en route to a three-day score of 9-under par.

“I was very much in control of my ball, I hit a lot of good shots,” said Wiesberger, who missed most of the 2018 season with a wrist injury. “All in all it was a solid day, a good moving day for me.

“I feel like I’m in control of what I’m doing, I’m not trying to get ahead of myself, I’ll just stick to my processes.”

MacIntyre made back-to-back birdies on Nos. 14 and 15 to post a 68 and reach 8-under par, one clear of Germany’s Max Schmitt (68) and overnight leader Matthias Schwab(72) of Austria.

Seeking his maiden European Tour win, MacIntyre will be paired in Sunday’s final group with four-time Tour winner Wiesberger.

“I just had to be patient early in the round again,” said MacIntyre. “The wind direction doesn’t suit me on the first 12 holes so I’ve just got to hang in until late in the round and that’s where I’ve got to try and get my score.

“It’s something that I’ve always wanted to do – win on the European Tour. Now that I’ve secured my card for next season, it gives me the freedom that there’s nothing to lose so I’ve just got to get out there and try and get it.”

One further back was Frenchman Romain Langasque (72), Spaniard Pablo Larrazabal (68) and Englishman Oliver Wilson (68).
