2012 U.S. Open Champion Webb Simpson has been rounding into form lately, going T3 and T11 at his last two events, which gave him some confidence going into the season’s second major.

It has not been ALL business for Webb this week though, as an unknown prankster has been replacing Webb’s locker room name plates with new plates, ones that make puns from his name.

Unfortunately, Simpson missed the cut by five strokes, going 77-74 (+11) in his first two rounds.  Afterwards, he expressed disappointment that there would be no need for a name plater over the weekend.

It was a good enough prank to leave us wondering what other puns they had in store.  Hillwebbry Clinton?  Kanye Webb? Daenerys Webbgaryen?
