Located just 16 miles from one of the most vibrant downtown areas in the U.S., the great city of Savannah.
Southern hospitality isn’t always there in some areas of “the South”, but it sure is in Savannah and especially at the Landings. Having spent the good portion of four days there for the first time, I can’t wait to go back. Not only to enjoy the charm, food, and entertainment of Savannah, but especially to play the other four golf courses at the Landings.
Not to mention, to enjoy their amazing hospitality.
“We are a private residential athletic club,” said Landings Executive Director Steven Freund. “Our members enjoy six golf courses, pickleball, tennis, state of the art fitness and more. We may not be a Maserati, but maybe a Lexus. ‘Life overflowing’ as we call it.”
If you like gourmet dining or just a burger and a beer, the Landings has it all. They feature over a dozen dining options from a sushi restaurant to oysters on a half shell to prime steaks to a food truck.
“We want our members to feel special,” said Freund, who came to the Landings 17 years ago and has seen his hard work payoff. (It’s obvious in talking with him that he’s a tremendous leader of people that really enjoys his job and it rubs off on his employees.)
“We have built a staff that is one of the friendliest you’ll ever find. They take care of our members and it shows.”
There are 3400 golf memberships at the Landings. That sure sounds like a lot, but the six golf courses make it pretty easy to get a tee time. Memberships go beyond golf due to the other amenities the club offers, but make no mistake about it, this is a golf country club at its finest.
The Landings hosts the $1 Million Korn Ferry Tour Club Car Open in March. Just an example of the high quality of golf there is to offer.
Try Before You Buy
They do not rest on their laurels, though. Constantly promoting the club and offering an excellent Discover Package. For $795 per couple, you can be a “member” for 3 days, two nights with two rounds of golf for two!
The math is easy. Less the $400 per person for three days at a premier facility, two nights stay with wonderful accommodations plus two rounds of championship golf. You’ll get a great look at available homes or vacations properties. And you will come out of there feeling like they rolled out the red carpet for you, because they will, with a southern smile.
“We can talk about the quality of our golf courses,” said Freund, “but it’s the totality of our club. Think about enjoying everything we have to offer, with friends.”
