According to multiple reports, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will be teeing it up in Las Vegas over the Thanksgiving weekend in a winner-take-all match for $10 million.

In a report on ESPN, Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg said the $10 million made-for-TV match is getting “closer,” with details still to be worked out.

Woods’ agent, Mark Steinberg, said that “we are closer than we have been” to working out the details and that he expected it to occur “this year,” with the location and date still to be determined.

Both Woods and Mickelson are in the field at this week’s WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, and played together in one of the practice rounds.

The two legends are expected to be part of the U.S. Ryder Cup team this fall in Paris, which takes place Sept. 28-30. Any match would occur after the Ryder Cup and before the holidays, with the long Thanksgiving weekend the obvious slot.

When asked about the report, Woods said, “I have nothing further to add to it. We haven’t signed anything, nothing’s confirmed. As soon as it is, then we’ll let you guys know.”

Mickelson, however, was far more forthcoming, and said the deal was done. “Yeah, Thanksgiving weekend,” he said, when asked about the rumors.

Although he had few details, he confirmed the holiday date.

“As we firm up more and more details, we’ll let everybody know. Right now we just know that it’s going to be Thanksgiving weekend for sure,” Mickelson continued.
