NORTON, Mass. — Ruoning Yin returned to the winner’s circle Sunday, holding off Hyo Joo Kim down the stretch to capture the 2026 FM Championship at TPC Boston for the sixth LPGA Tour victory of her career.
Yin closed with a 2-under 70 to finish at 14-under 274, two shots clear of Kim, who settled for runner-up at 12 under. Allisen Corpuz finished alone in third at 11 under, while Rose Zhang and Sei Young Kim tied for fourth at 10 under.
The victory was Yin’s first on the LPGA Tour since 2024 and ended a two-year title drought for the 23-year-old Chinese star. It also earned her $660,000 from the tournament’s $4.4 million purse.
Yin entered Sunday with the lead after rounds of 71, 65 and 68, the latter capped by a chip-in birdie on the 18th hole Saturday. She carried that momentum into the final round and did enough on a crowded leaderboard to keep her challengers at arm’s length.
Kim provided the strongest challenge, but Yin remained steady as the tournament moved through its closing holes and ultimately finished two shots ahead of the South Korean.
For Yin, the victory marked another significant achievement in a career that has already included a major championship and a stint as the No. 1-ranked player in the world. Her sixth LPGA victory comes more than three years after she captured the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.
The final leaderboard also featured several prominent Americans making their final competitive appearances before the Solheim Cup.
The tournament marked the third edition of the FM Championship, which debuted in 2024 and has quickly developed into one of the LPGA Tour’s richest non-major events.
