EUROPE RYDER CUP STANDINGS

As of this update, the eight (8) Team Europe qualifiers are: Tyrrell Hatton, Justin Rose, Tommy Fleetwood, and Francesco Molinari (via R2D), along with Jon Rahm, Alex Noren, Rory McIlroy, and Paul Casey (via OWGR).


U.S. RYDER CUP STANDINGS

As of this update, the eight (8) Team U.S.A. qualifiers are: Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, Justin Thomas, Bubba Watson, Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, and Bryson DeChambeau.


HOW RYDER CUP POINTS ARE AWARDED

U.S. TEAM

The United States points system relies on earnings to determine the top eight players for the 2018 United States Ryder Cup team from January 1, 2017 to the conclusion of the PGA Championship on August 12, 2018.

In addition, captain Jim Furyk will select four players to complete the United States team.

Points are based upon the following:

  • 1 point for every $1,000 earned in the four 2017 Major Championships (Masters Tournament, US Open, Open Championship and PGA Championship).
  • 1 point for every $2,000 earned in the four 2017 WGCs (Mexico Championship, Dell Match Play, Bridgestone Invitational, and HSBC Champions) and THE PLAYERS Championship.
  • 1 point for every $1,000 earned in “official” PGA Tour events from the 2018 Tournament of Champions through to the Northern Trust, excluding opposite field events.
  • 2 points for every $1,000 earned in the four 2018 Major Championships (Masters Tournament, US Open, Open Championship and PGA Championship).

EUROPEAN TEAM

The European team is comprised of the top 4 using Race To Dubai points, and the top 4 (not already qualified via R2D) using OWGR points.

In addition, captain Thomas Bjorn will select four players to complete the European team.

Points are based upon the following:

  • 1 point for every point earned in 2017 and 2018 Official Race to Dubai tournament.
  • 1 point for every point awarded in 2017 and 2018 Official Golf World Rankings events.
  • 1.5 points for every point earned in 2018 Official Race to Dubai tournaments, starting with BMW PGA Championship.
  • 1.5 points for every point awarded in 2017 and 2018 Official Golf World Rankings events, starting with BMW PGA Championship.
