John Daly injured his knee while diving out of the way of a car that had lost control in the parking lot of a Hooters restaurant in Augusta, Georgia.

As is tradition, each year of the Masters Tournament, Daly parks his RV in the local Hooters parking lot to pose for pictures and sell his merchandise to the golf fans in town for the season’s first major.

According to WRDW, a local TV station in Georgia, Daly said his bus was hit when a driver attempted to pull a u-turn and lost control of her vehicle.

“It whaled into the front of the bus, and John dove out of the way,” said Daly’s fiancée Anna Cladakis, as reported by GolfChannel.com.

Daly currently competes on the Champions Tour, where he won for the first time last season, and continues to be a fan favorite.

The two-time major winner told the local TV station that if fans want to see some exciting stuff, come on down to Hooters.

“Two hours after that (his crash), a Budweiser truck hit another car. Come on down to Hooters if you want to see a lot of crap going on,” joked Daly into the TV camera.

The two-time major winner will remain in Georgia for another week, as he’s set to compete in the Mitsubishi Electric Classic at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth (GA).
