Jim Nantz and Dottie Pepper, the familiar voices of CBS golf, are both finalists for the World Golf Hall of Fame’s Class of 2027.

A new system had the nominees broken down into four groups — men, women, contributors and historic figures and amateurs. Nominating committees for each group narrowed the list to four men, four women, three contributors and three from the historical figures and amateurs.

Nantz, the network’s lead play-by-play announcer, is a first-time finalist in the contributors category, alongside British course architect Harry Colt and swing coach Butch Harmon, who was a finalist in 2024.

Nantz has called the Masters and the network’s PGA Tour coverage for decades. The Hall’s contributor category covers impact outside competition.

Pepper, a longtime CBS analyst, is back among the women’s finalists with Inbee Park, Cristie Kerr and Liselotte Neumann. She was also a finalist for the 2024 class and like Harmon fell just short of induction.

Pepper, nominated for her playing career, won 17 times on the LPGA Tour, including two majors, and went 13-5-2 in six Solheim Cups before moving into the booth.

The men’s finalists are one-time major winners Jim Furyk, Adam Scott, Justin Rose and Corey Pavin. Scott and Rose are still playing at a high level on the PGA Tour.

The amateur and historical group has amateurs Jay Sigel (USA) and Alexa Stirling (Canada) and two-time major winner (1912 British Open, 1920 U.S. Open) Ted Ray of Britain (historical).

A 24-member panel will vote this fall; induction requires 75 percent of the vote. The class will be announced in December, with the ceremony set for July 12, 2027, in St. Andrews during Open Championship week.
