Adrien Saddier claimed his maiden DP World Tour title in his 200th start, staging a thrilling back-nine comeback to win the Italian Open on Sunday at Argentario Golf Club.

The 33-year-old Frenchman fired a 4-under 66, finishing at 14-under 266 to beat compatriot Martin Couvra by two strokes and secure the $511,425 top prize.

Trailing Couvra by three at the turn after bogeys on the 4th and 8th, Saddier ignited with five birdies over seven holes, including a 22-footer on the 13th, to seize the lead. He parred the final two holes to clinch the victory, earning a spot in The Open Championship at Royal Portrush alongside Couvra, who carded a 69.

“It’s taken so much work,” an emotional Saddier said. “I stayed focused, made the putts, and did it.”

Scotland’s Calum Hill and England’s Dan Bradbury tied for third at 10-under. Saddier’s win, marked by precision with his 2025 Pro V1, ends a long wait for the Esery native, who debuted on the Tour in 2014.
