Sebastian Munoz claimed his first LIV Golf title in dramatic fashion on Sunday, defeating Jon Rahm on the first playoff hole at LIV Golf Indianapolis.
The Colombian star birdied the final two holes at The Club at Chatham Hills in regulation to post 6-under 65, tying Rahm at 22-under 191 after Rahm’s sensational 11-under 60.
In the playoff, Munoz sank a 6-foot birdie putt on the par-4 18th, while Rahm’s birdie attempt slid left after striking the flagstick, securing Munoz’s victory and a $4 million prize.
Munoz, who fired a historic 12-under 59 with a double bogey on Friday, celebrated his first win since the 2019 PGA Tour Sanderson Farms Championship.
“First time I’ve ever beaten him, so really proud,” Munoz said of Rahm. His Torque GC squad also claimed the team title at a record 64-under.
Despite the loss, Rahm clinched the 2025 LIV Golf Individual Championship with his runner-up finish, earning an $18 million bonus.
