During Monday’s media day at the Travelers Championship, 2020 champion Dustin Johnson described winning last year’s tournament like something out of junior golf, where a couple of people clap.

“It felt like junior golf almost, you know like a couple parents standing around clapping for you,” said Johnson via video conference.

“But you know it’s a big win. You know people are watching at home.”

When DJ returns in 2021 to defend his title, the tournament will look somewhat back to normal, but not close to the normalcy of the pre COVID days.

The Connecticut based tournament, held June 24-27 at TPC River Highlands, will only admit 10,000 fans per day, who will all be forced to wear masks outdoors in the sweltering summer heat (unless they are eating or drinking).

Tickets will be sold in two category levels: grounds ($50-70) and courtyard ($150-280). Both will will go on sale, beginning May 25.

No tickets will be available at the gate and no cash will be accepted for tickets or for any purchases at TPC River Highlands.
