Sam Burns produced a final-round 69 and then edged Riley Davis (72) in a playoff to claim a repeat victory at the Valspar Championship.
The 25-year-old Louisiana native finished his final day at the Copperhead Course with one bogey against three birdies to sign for a 17-under par total.
Burns clinched his second straight Valspar win with a birdie putt from over 30 feet on the second overtime hole.
For his third career PGA Tour win, the LSU product earned $1,404,000 and 500 FedExCup points, which moves him to No. 2 on the money list, and up to No. 4 in the points standings.
Burns also picked up 52 world-ranking points to crack the top 10 (No. 10) – his best career position.
Runner-up Davis, meawhile, took home a check for $850,200 along with 300 FedEx Cup points and 31.2 OWGR points.
