The Format

The LIV Golf League 2024 features 13 teams comprised of four players competing over a 14-event schedule, with players and teams competing simultaneously for both points and prize money.
Tournaments consist of 54-hole stroke play, no cuts and shotgun starts, ensuring a faster and more exciting pace of play.
Captains: Each team has a captain while members of the four-player teams, including the captain, participate in the three-day tournament.
Individual Winner: The player with the lowest 54-hole stroke play total is the winner. At the season’s end, the player with the most ranking points will be named the season’s Individual Champion.
Team Competition: Over the first two rounds, the best three stroke play scores will count for each team. For the third and final round, all four scores will count. The lowest overall team score after 54 holes is the team winner. The final event of the season is the team championship.

The Hong Kong Open is one of just three events in the history of golf to be played at the same venue for more than six decades.
Current LIV Golf League member Ian Poulter, co-captain of Majesticks GC, returns to the site of his Hong Kong Open win in 2010 in which he shot a career-best 10-under 60 in the second round.
A dozen current LIV Golf League members played in the most recent Hong Kong Open in 2023, including Ripper GC Captain Cameron Smith, who finished runner-up to current LIV Golf reserve player Ben Campbell.
LIV Golf Hong Kong will utilize the same composite layout at Fanling that is used by the Hong Kong Open.
The 493-yard ninth is the longest par-4 hole on the scorecard and generally considered the most difficult hole on the course.
