21 Highlights From Round Two of The Open Championship

Things are starting to take shape at Carnoustie Golf Club after day two of the 147th Open Championship.

Americans Zach Johnson and Kevin Kisner share the lead at 6-under par.

Top-ranked stars Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, and Rickie Fowler will headline Saturday’s chasing pack – all within three shots of the lead.

World Nos. 1 and 2, Dustin Johnson (77-72) and Justin Thomas (69-77), respectively, were both sent home early after finishing outside the cut line of 3-over par. Meanwhile, 60-year old Bernhard Langer, who is older than DJ (33) and JT (25) combined, made the cut after two rounds of 72.

Finally, Sandy Lyle, the 1985 Champion Golfer of the Year, went out in style, draining a 30-foot birdie on the 18th hole. The Scot’s Open exemption ends this year (after turning 60).

With that, let’s look at the highlights from round two of the Open Championship at Carnoustie:
