Scottie Scheffler produced a final-round 72 to claim a one-shot victory at the 2022 Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The 25-year-old Texan finished his final day at the brutal Bay Hill track with three bogeys against three birdies to sign for a 5-under par, one clear of Tyrrell Hatton (69), Viktor Hovland (74) and Billy Horschel (75), who finished tied for second-place on 4 under.
Scheffler earned $2,100,000 and 550 FedExCup points, which moves him to No. 1 on both the tour’s money list and points standings.
He also picked up 64 Official World Golf Rankings points and will move to No. 5 – the first time he’s cracked the top 5.
Runners-up Hatton, Hovland and Horschel each took home a check for $908,000 along with 218 FedEx Cup points and 27.7 OWGR points.
