In a unique format, the ISPS Handa Vic Open makes its debut on both the European Tour and LPGA Tour, as both male and female professional golfers head Down Under.
Here are five things to know:
- It’s one event for fans, but a separate championship for men (European Tour) and women (LPGA Tour), with each contested at 13th Beach Golf Links.
- The first two rounds will be contested on the Beach and Creek Courses, alternating men’s and women’s tee times.
- A 36-hole cut will reduce each field to the top 65 players (and ties) with third round contested only on the Beach Course.
- A 54-hole cut will further reduce each field to the top 35 (and ties) for the final round, also played on the Beach Course.
- A combined $2.2 million in prize funds and will be distributed equally, with $1.1 million (USD) allocated to each championship.
