Brooks Koepka shot rounds of 71 and 70 to finish 3-under par 141 and miss the cut at the AT&T Byron Nelson by three strokes.
Koepka will now enter next week’s PGA Championship off two consecutive missed-cuts – not exactly comforting to those considering placing a wager on the big-game hunter.
The good news is that he’d missed three straight cuts earlier in the season and followed it up with a win at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Rickie Fowler also missed the weekend for the second straight start, losing out on a paycheck by a stroke. The 32-year old has been in a two year slump, and for the past year it’s been something of a tailspin, falling from a world ranking of 10th in 2019 to his current spot at 122.
Other big names who missed the weekend: Jason Day (-5), Thomas Pieters (-5), Sergio Garcia (-4), and Padraig Harrington (-4).
