After an opening-round 73, which included a triple bogey, at the Saudi International, Bryson DeChambeau has withdrawn from the controversial event, citing injuries to both his left hand and hip.

DeChambeau has struggled to start the 2022 year, posting a 25th place finish at the 39-player Sentry Tournament of Champions, then withdrawing from the Sony Open in Hawaii, citing a wrist injury.

He teed it up last week at Torrey Pines but missed the cut after opening 70-72.
