Bubba Blames Mud For His Amazing Flubbed Putt at Olympics

0

Bubba Watson was making a run this morning at the Olympics, and had about a 40 foot putt to go 8-under par, which would have placed him only 2 strokes off the lead at the time.

But then Bubba made what may go down as one of the most famous flub putts in big time golf history — as he seemed to balk his putt, hitting it only about 4 feet. The NBC golf announcers, including Johnny Miller, David Feherty, and Roger Maltbie, were stunned, saying they’ve “never seen anything like it.”

Afterwards, Bubba said that he thinks mud came off his putter, which he mistook for a bee, causing him to sort of flinch and chunk the putt.
