MIAMI, Fla. — Cameron Young delivered a masterclass performance at the iconic Blue Monster course, cruising to a commanding six-shot victory in the 2026 Cadillac Championship on Sunday.
The 28-year-old Palm Beach Gardens resident, and New York native, finished at 19-under-par 269, going wire-to-wire for the win in the PGA Tour’s return to Trump National Doral.
Young opened with an 8-under 64 to seize the solo lead and never looked back, building a substantial advantage through the weekend. He entered the final round with a six-shot cushion and posted a steady 4-under 68, even after a self-imposed one-shot penalty on the second hole for an infraction only he noticed. That unflappable integrity and composure defined his week.

“Winning is really hard,” said Young. “It’s not, at no point did it feel easy, did it feel like the tournament was over. Even the last couple holes there’s a lot that can happen and you’re never quite sure what the guys in front of you are going to do, the other guys in your group.
“So it was really just a matter of keeping my head down and trying to play good golf all the way through to the finish.”
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler finished alone in second at 13-under 275, with Ben Griffin one shot further back in third. Young’s margin of victory and control left no doubt, marking his third career PGA Tour title, and third in his last 14 starts.
He praised the Blue Monster’s challenge while crediting his improved iron play and mental toughness.

“Like I said, I think when the golf course is difficult, when the conditions are difficult, that tend to make it easier for me mentally,” said Young.
“Yeah, that’s a big part of keeping yourself in it out here. It’s difficult with the wind and the conditions were pretty benign today, but it is still a hard golf course and thankfully I was able to stay where my feet were and hit a bunch of good shots.”
Scheffler, who played in the final group, offered high praise for Young’s ball-striking and poise under pressure.
The victory caps a rapid rise for Young, who needed 93 starts for his first win (the 2025 Wyndham Championship) before accelerating with a trio of triumphs in his last 14 starts on Tour. His wire-to-wire performance at Doral echoed historical feats, becoming the first since Andy Bean in 1977 at the course.

Young earned $3.6 million and 700 FedEx Cup points for the Signature event win, further solidifying his position as one of the PGA Tour’s hottest players heading into the PGA Championship.
Family joined the celebration, with Young posing with the trophy alongside his wife Kelsey and three young children. The event drew attention for its high-profile setting and strong field, but it was Young’s dominance that stole the show.
The former Wake Forest standout is proving he belongs among golf’s elite. As one analyst noted, “Cam’s time is now.”
