Joel Dahmen shot a final-round 70 to claim a one-shot victory at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.
The Washington state native offset two bogeys with four birdies en route to a four-day total of 12-under par, one clear of co-silver medalists Rafael Campos (71) and Sam Ryder (67).
The win was 33-year old Dahmen’s maiden PGA Tour title.
Along with a nice trophy, and the traditional chacabana (shirt) and straw hat, Dahmen earned $540,000 and 300 FedExCup points. He also secured 24 first-place OWGR points to jump from No. 81 to 61st in the Official World Golf Rankings.
