Fresh off a win at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Daniel Berger has withdrawn from the Genesis Invitational at Riviera Country Club.

The 27-year old Berger, who moved to No. 13 in the Official World Golf Ranking following his fourth career PGA Tour victory, was one of 12 players ranked inside the world top 15 in the field this week. He will not be replaced in the limited 120-player field.

No reason was given for his change of plans, but it’s not uncommon for Tour players to opt out following a win. Further, the Genesis is generally not circled on Berger’s calendar, annually. In fact, he’s only made one career start at Riviera, and missed the cut (2018).
