Earlier this week, Smylie Kauffman, a one-time PGA Tour winner, whose career was basically over before turning 25, made remarks on “The Smylie Show” that gained attention, suggesting Dustin Johnson should consider retiring from playing, and smarmily saying he should move into broadcasting, mocking DJ’s monotone personality.

During the episode, co-host Charlie Hulme highlighted Johnson’s finish in Hong Kong, describing it as “dead f***ing last” (DFL).

Kauffman responded, “That kind of makes you sad, doesn’t it? He just doesn’t care anymore. You know what, DJ, your playing career is not cutting it out, let’s get you in the broadcast. Can you imagine listening to DJ on a broadcast?”

Except. Johnson then went out and shot a 63 in the opening round of the LIV Golf Singapore to take the day 1 lead.

Kauffman was clearly embarrassed by DJ’s score in Singapore.
