Webb Simpson shot a final-round 64 to claim his second victory of the 2020 season at the RBC Heritage.
Simpson broke out of a clogged Sunday leaderboard with five birdies over his final seven holes to reach 22-under par, one shot clear of Abraham Ancer (65).
The win was Simpson’s seventh career PGA Tour title, and second in his four most recent starts.
For the win, Simpson earned $1,278,000 and 500 FedExCup points. He also secured 72 first-place OWGR points to move up to No. 5 in the world rankings – tying a career best.
Ancer, meanwhile, earned $773,900 and 300 FedExCup points for his solo second-place finish. The 29-year old budding star also secured 43 OWGR points to leap inside the world top-25 (No. 24) for the first time in his career.
