Final Money: 2018 Farmers Insurance Open

Jason Day shot a 2-under 70 on Sunday and then beat Alex Noren with a birdie on the sixth playoff hole on Monday morning to capture his 11th career PGA Tour title at the Farmers Insurance Open.

Day finished his final round with four birdies against two bogeys en route to a 10-under par four-day total.

The win was the 11th of Day’s PGA Tour career, earning the Aussie $1,242,000 and 500 FedExCup points, moving him to No. 9 in the current standings.

Day also secured 54 Official World Golf Ranking points and jumped back into the top 10, from No. 14.

Runner-up Noren took home a check for $607,200 and 150 points. Ryan Palmer, who was knocked out on the first playoff hole, took home the same money and points as Noren.
