Satoshi Kodaira shot a final-round 66 to reach 12-under par, and then beat Si Woo Kim on the third playoff hole to win the 2018 RBC Heritage.
The 28-year old Kodaira signed for card comprised of nine pars, two bogeys, and seven birdies – highlighted by three-straight out of the gate – en route to a 5-under par 66.
The win earned Kodaira $1,206,000 and 52 Official World Golf Rankings points which will bump him into the Top 30 at No. 25 – his highest ranking ever. He is not a member of the PGA Tour so the 500 FedExCup points are placed in escrow until/if he commits to the U.S. tour.
Si Woo Kim, the runner-up, took home a check for $723,600, 300 FedExCup points, and 32 OWGR points.
