With a final-round 68, Dustin Johnson cruised to a five-stroke victory over Cameron Smith (69) and Sungjae Im (69) at the Masters Tournament.
Johnson finished his fourth round at Augusta National Golf Club with two bogeys offset by six birdies, highlighted by a hat trick of gains on Nos. 13, 14, and 15, en route to a tournament record 20-under par.
The victory was Johnson’s 24th of his PGA Tour career, and second major title.
Along with the iconic green jacket, the 36-year old South Carolina native earned $2,070,000, 600 FedExCup points, and 100 OWGR points. He will cement his position as the No. 1 golfer in the world rankings when the standings are released later tonight.
For their runner-up finishes, Smith and Im each took home $1,012,000, 270 FedExCup points, and 50 world ranking points.
