Rory McIlroy shot a final-round 61 to claim his 16th career PGA TOUR title at the RBC Canadian Open.
The 30-year old Northern Ireland native finished his final day at Hamilton Golf and Country Club with two bogeys offset by nine birdies and one eagle en route to a 22-under par total, seven clear of Shane Lowry (67) and Webb Simpson (68).
For the win, McIlroy earned $1,368,000 and 500 FedExCup points, while also picking up 48 OWGR points. He will move from No. 4 to 3rd in the world rankings.
Runners-up Lowry and Simpson each pocketed $668,800, along with 245 FedExCup points and 24 OWGR points.
