In the final match at Rinkven International Golf Club, Guido Migliozzi defeated Darius van Driel by four shots (-3 to +1) to claim victory at the Belgian Knockout.
In Sunday’s early matches, Migliozzi slid by heavy favorite Bernd Wiesberger (-2 to -1) in his quarter-final match, then defeated Scotsman Ewen Ferguson (-3 to E) by three shots in the final four match.
The 22-year old Italian rookie finished 8-under par over 27 holes on Sunday, and now has two victories in just 20 starts with the Belgium title coupled with his triumph at the Magical Kenya Open back in March.
“I’m feeling very good,” said Migliozzi. “I managed very well this afternoon, all the shots.
“It’s been great playing like this with such great players. I’m playing solid and I will try to continue this quality in the future.
“He (Van Driel) played very solid, we played together on the Challenge Tour and it’s been a great match. He’s a good player.”
The victory moves Migliozzi into the top 100 on the Official World Golf Ranking for the first time in his young career, and makes him the second 2018 Q School grad to win twice in 2019 after Kurt Kitayama.
