The Champions Tour is in Alabama this week for the Regions Tradition, the senior circuit’s first of five majors. During the lead-up to the big event, many of the local sports celebs were on hand to play in the pro am, including Alabama head coach Nick Saban, Heisman Trophy winner Bo Jackson of Auburn, and NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley who also starred at Auburn.
Barkley, who once had the most unique golf swing ever, now hits it pretty decent, and without the patented pause. He said his swing was “fixed” by Stan Utley, who plays on the Champions Tour.
Aside from his golf game, Barkley put on a show for the fans and seemed to be just an all-around nice guy.
The PGA Tour Champions Tour on the Gram captioned their video post this way: “Barkley’s golf game is no longer comedy, but he still is.”
