In 2019, Shane Lowry won the Open Championship on home soil at Royal Portrush. Yet when he was chosen for the Ryder Cup team two weeks ago, he called it his greatest thrill.
On Saturday, paired with Englishman Tyrrell Hatton, in a match against Harris English and Tony Finau, the 34-year-old Irishman proved he meant it: Lowry made a clutch putt for par on the 18th hole to win his match.
Lowry then went absolutely bananas.
