The team of Jason Dufner and Pat Perez finished their two days at TPC Louisiana at 7-under par. The duo missed the Zurich Classic cut by a single shot (hurt by a two-hole stretch at the turn of bogey-bogey on Nos. 9 and 10).
He may not be around for the weekend, but Dufner made his mark in New Orleans, and became social media legend, by wearing a hat emblazoned with the hashtag ‘#SaintsGotRobbed’ during the heat of the NFL Draft.
According to the New Orleans Advocate, car dealership mogul Matt Bowers, who made news when he purchased billboards in Atlanta, ahead of the Super Bowl – which included the same hashtag, is taking credit for Dufner’s viral hat.
As the kids say, ‘Scores don’t matter, who won Twitter?’ And for that metric, Dufner claimed the biggest W.
#WhoDat Nation was digging Duf.
