Jin Young Ko produced a final-round 2-under 69 to claim a one-shot victory at the 2021 Volunteers of America Classic.
Ko, the overnight leader, signed for a card which included two bogeys offset by four birdies to reach 16-under par.
“I had a lot of opportunity for birdie but I didn’t made it a lot of,” said Ko, who jumped back to world No. 1 after her eighth career LPGA victory.
“But I’m still win so it doesn’t matter.”
She added, “I’m so happy. And this week was a lot of Koreans out there, so I want to say thank you to my Korean fans.”
Runner-up Matilda Castren carded a 69 with three birdies and one bogey to finish 15 under, one clear of Gaby Lopez who shot 65 to claim solo bronze on 14 under.
Emma Talley (63), Ana Belac (68) and Esther Henseleit (72) were T4 on 12 under, one clear of Jeongeun Lee6 (70).
Celine Herbin (67), Hyo Joo Kim (67), Celine Boutier (67), and Min-G Kim (68), who were then 10 under.
