On Monday afternoon, Tiger Woods announced his withdrawal from this week’s Hero World Challenge. But just hours later, the 15-time major winner had some good news: two additions to his virtual golf league (TGL) which launches in 2024.
Via Twitter, Woods announced that tour superstars Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas would be joining TGL, alongside league owners Woods and Rory McIlroy.
“Welcome to TGL, Justin Thomas and Jon Rahm. See you boys on Monday nights in 2024,” wrote Woods.
The virtual golf league will consist of six teams comprised of three PGA Tour players. The inaugural season kicks off January 2024 with a 15-match regular season, followed by playoffs and championship match.
