In his first five rounds playing on the LIV Golf tour, Anthony Kim had posted rounds of 76, 76, 74, 76, and 72.
Yet, on Sunday at LIV Golf Hong Kong – just his sixth competitive round of golf after a 12-year sabbatical, the 38-year-old American shot a low-round 65.
Unreal. -5 for Anthony Kim today. The third best round of the day and in the rain. Mad respect and can't wait to see where this goes! #LIVGolf pic.twitter.com/H0cPqMCJ2V

The key to Kim’s round was apparently putting, as the 3-time PGA Tour winner lapped the field in putting.
“The first two days I didn’t feel like I made a lot of putts, but today I putted really well. Saw the line well and just trusted my reads,” said Kim.
Anthony Kim led the field in putting #LIVGolf Hong Kong and holed approximately 150 feet of putts in the final round.

Afterwards, Kim said, “I’m working on the right things and enjoying the time with my family. The LIV Golf experience has been amazing and I’m just thankful.”

Kim was trending on X, formerly Twitter, for the feel-good performance.
It won’t happen of course but perhaps Anthony Kim should receive a few nods of apology on X after carding a 65 in his SIXTH competitive round, following 12 years out. It defies belief! #LIVGolf

Waking up to Anthony Kim beating Jon Rahm was not on my bingo card, but I'm not mad about it

It’s hard to not feel incredibly happy for Anthony Kim. Shooting a final round 65 in only his 6th professional round after a 12 year layoff is crazy impressive.
He said when he joined LIV that he was here to try to compete and this round is a huge step in the right direction. pic.twitter.com/IrWijcw2Sm

In 2009, Anthony Kim was one of the most exciting players in golf, and shot 65 in the Masters with a record 11 birdies!
Today he shot 65 in just his 6th round back to pro golf.

This is bananas. He also didn't know how to use TrackMan and that you had to drop from knee height, not shoulder height.
It's legitimately admirable how off the grid Anthony Kim has been. https://t.co/CzkfOsy9uM
