Matthew Wolff has officially withdrawn from next week’s PGA Championship at Kiawah Island, the tournament announced Tuesday.

Tom Hoge, the first alternate, will replace Wolff in the field for the season’s second major.

Wolff started the 2020-21 season on fire, posting a solo second at the U.S. Open and T2 in Las Vegas (Shriners), but has struggled badly in 11 starts since, which has included two in-tournament WDs and a DQ for signing wrong score at the Masters.

The PGA Championship will be contested May 20-23, 2021 on the Ocean Course at the South Carolina island resort.
