‘Moliwood’ Reunite at British Masters Hosted by Justin Rose

Golf’s hottest couple will be back together for the first time since the Ryder Cup at this week’s Sky Sports British Masters.

As a twosome, Tommy Fleetwood and Francesco Molinari went 4-0 in the fourball and foursome sessions at Le Golf National – and became the first European pair to claim four points in four consecutive matches. The close friendship, along with their record-setting performance, led the duo to being dubbed ‘Moliwood’.

Fleetwood played last week in Scotland at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, where he finished T2 alongside Ryder Cup teammate Tyrrell Hatton (who blew a late five-shot lead).

Molinari, who took the week off, will be teeing it up with Fleetwood at Walton Heath for the big European Tour event hosted by FedExCup champion Justin Rose – another Europe Ryder Cup star. The trio will be joined by a fourth teammate, Thorbjorn Olesen of Denmark.

Meanwhile, Europe captain Thomas Bjorn, along with his five vice captains – Lee Westwood, Luke Donald, Robert Karlsson, Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell – will also be in the field this week in Surrey, England.
