Nick Dunlap has been named the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year for the 2024 season. He becomes the first player in PGA Tour history to win as both an amateur and a professional in the same season, winning The American Express in January as an amateur and the Barracuda Championship in July as a tour pro.

Dunlap’s achievements this year have led to him receiving 57% of the membership vote for the Arnold Palmer Award, ahead of other nominees Max Greyserman, Jake Knapp, and Matthieu Pavon.

Dunlap’s season was highlighted by his rapid transition from college golf at the University of Alabama to professional success on the PGA Tour, culminating in his impressive placement of 49th in the FedExCup standings, which secured his spot in the Tour’s 2025 Signature Events.

  • Cuts Made: He made the cut in 15 out of 23 starts after turning professional.
  • FedExCup Points: Despite not receiving FedExCup points for his amateur win, he finished the season ranked 49th in the FedExCup standings, which was instrumental in securing his spot in the 2025 Signature Events.
