Patrick Reed ended his 41-start winless streak on the LIV Golf circuit with a thrilling victory at LIV Golf Dallas on June 29, 2025, at Maridoe Golf Club.

The 34-year-old Texan outlasted Louis Oosthuizen, Paul Casey, and Jinichiro Kozuma in a four-man playoff, sinking a 15-foot birdie putt on the first extra hole to secure his maiden LIV Golf individual title and the $4 million top prize.

Reed, who led by five shots early in the final round, stumbled with a 3-over 75, dropping into a tie at 6-under par. Despite the setback, “Captain America” regained composure in the playoff, using his daughter’s putter to clinch the win in his home state.

“It took too long, but to win for the first time on LIV and in Texas means a lot,” Reed said, expressing relief at breaking his drought.

The victory, Reed’s first professional win in Texas, boosted him to fourth in LIV Golf’s individual standings and sparked renewed talk of a potential Ryder Cup return.

Meanwhile, Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC dominated the team event, winning by 11 shots for their third consecutive title.
