The PGA Tour has announced that Patrick Reed has withdrawn from this week’s Wyndham Championship, the regular season finale.
The tour’s communication team didn’t provide explanation but his travel mileage may be the reason: in the past four weeks, Reed has played in Scotland (Open Championship), Minnesota (3M Open), Japan (Olympics), and Tennessee (WGC FedEx).
2013 champion Patrick Reed is a WD from the Wyndham Championship and replaced in the field by Josh Teater.
Teater enters the week No. 193 in the FedExCup standings.

Reed currently sits 22nd in the FedExCup standings, and would appear locked in for another trip to East Lake and the Tour Championship.
Josh Teater, who is 193th in the FedExCup race, will be Reed’s replacement in the field at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, NC.
