Patton Kizzire shot a final-round 70 to claim his third career PGA Tour title at the 2024 Procore Championship.
As the overnight leader, Kizzire entered Sunday’s finale at Silverado’s North Course holding a comfortable four-shot advantage over David Lipsky. Although his advantage was cut in half at one point, Kizzire never relinquished his lead and eventually pulled away from the chasing pack with an impressive trio of birdies on Nos. 12, 13 and 15 to clinch the trophy.
Kizzire finished his final day in Napa with an eagle and three birdies against three bogeys, en route to a four-day score of 20-under par.
The win snapped a winless drought of nearly seven years for Kizzire who last won at the 2018 Sony Open.
“Yeah, it’s so competitive out here, there’s so many guys, young guys that are coming up trying to take your job,” said Kizzire, when asked about survival on the PGA Tour.
“As my buddy Brian Harman, he says, “See that guy over there? He’s trying to take my job.” I laugh every time he says that, but they are.
“There’s so many good players coming up and everybody’s training better and getting better. It’s so competitive. The guys are working hard. You’ve got to be on top of your game to win.
That’s what makes it so sweet.”
The win moves the 38-year-old Georgia native to No. 70 (from 132) in the FedExCup Fall standings, which all but locks up his tour card for 2025 (top 125).
Lipsky (71) finished alone in second at 15 under. He also moved into the top 125 (from 163 to 101) in the FedExCup Fall standings.
Patrick Fishburn was one further back on 14 under, one clear of trio at T4, which included Ben Silverman (71), Mackenzie Hughes (72), and Greyson Sigg (72), the third player to jump into the top 125 (130 to 112).
