On Saturday, during the final round of the Portland Invitational, LIV Golf announced that Paul Casey has officially signed on to the breakaway tour and will compete at the LIV Golf Invitational-Bedminster as part of Team Crushers GC, captained by Bryson DeChambeau.

LIV Golf’s third event of the season will be contested July 29-31 at famed Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey.

Casey has been a consistent top-30 ranked player for more than two decades. Since turning pro in 2000, the Englishman owns 21 worldwide tour victories, including 15 on the European Tour and three on the PGA Tour.

In that time, the 44-year-old Arizona State product has amassed 150 top-10 finishes, including a solo third place finish at the 2022 PLAYERS Championship and a tie for second at the 2020 PGA Championship.

Casey represented Britain in the 2021 Summer Olympics and has represented Europe in five Ryder Cups. He’s annually ranked amongst the world’s best, finishing 14 times ranked inside the Official World Golf Rankings’ top 28, including the last seven consecutive years, going back to 2015.

Casey’s amateur career at Arizona State featured three consecutive Pac-12 Championships. He also won the 1999 and 2000 English Amateur and helped lead Great Britain and Ireland to a Walker Cup win where he became only the third player in 77 years to go 4-0 in the international competition.

“LIV Golf continues to attract the best players in the sport as it builds increasingly competitive fields with each event,” said Greg Norman, LIV Golf CEO and Commissioner.

“Paul Casey adds to the growing list of top 50 golfers who are excited to be part of an innovative and entertaining format that is creating something new for golf.

“His proven track record on a global stage adds another exciting piece to the competition as we prepare for Bedminster.”
