Five-time major champion Phil Mickelson ignored the advice of the smug, arrogant golf media, and showed up at Shinnecock Hills for the final round of the 118th U.S. Open.

As of this post, Mickelson is 1-under par, highlighted by an eagle on the par-5 5th hole. He also made par on the infamous 13th hole and jokingly celebrated by raising his arms in the air, as the fans gave him a loud ovation – which had to upset many in the media room.

It should be an interesting broadcast on FOX today after Joe Buck spent most of Saturday campaigning to basically send Mickelson to prison.
