Golf Canada and RBC have transformed the 7th hole at Glen Abbey into what they’re calling ‘The Rink’ – a Canadian Open fan experience, complete with a Zamboni parked next to hockey boards which will outline the hole from tee to green, replacing traditional roping.

“We’re very excited to bring The Rink to life,” said RBC Canadian Open Tournament Director Brent McLaughlin. “We wanted to create an experience that oozed Canada. We know Canadians love hockey, and of course they love golf too. Combining rinks and links was a no-brainer.”

To add to ‘The Rink’ experience, hole marshals will be outfitted in hockey referee shirts, while fans will will be able to watch from rink-side bleachers and viewing decks.
