The European Tour is in the Eastern Alps this week for the 30th edition of the Austria Golf Open. The tournament is sponsored by Golf Austria, but by the looks of things, the weather would be more conducive for Ski Austria.

The players this week prepping at the acclaimed Diamond Country Club in Atzenbrugg – just outside of Vienna, were met with temps reaching a HIGH of 37 on Tuesday, while today was a balmy 45.

The forecast calls for cold temperatures all week in Lower Austria, the northeastern most state in the Central European country. Temps will top out at 49 with lows of 35.

Austria’s climate is similar to New England in the U.S. where April is spotty in terms of consistency – some days in the 60s (as it was on Monday in Vienna) and others in the 30s and 40s as it will for the remainder of the week.
