Brooks Koepka gutted out four days of golf at a challenging Shinnecock Hills to become the first player since Curtis Strange in 1989 to successfully defend a U.S. Open title.
The 28-year old Koepka joins Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth as the only players under 30 with two majors.
Afterwards, many of Koepka’s competitors congratulated him via Twitter.
Here’s a roundup.
Just wasn’t my day but ended on a high note. Congrats to @BKoepka on a well deserved win!
