XXIO believes for many recreational players, those with slow to moderate swing speeds, lighter is better and with the new XXIO 12 woods, hybrids and irons for men and women has constructed clubs following that maxim.

What You Need To Know: XXIO Golf Clubs

XXIO continues to target those with slower swing speeds such as seniors and women with the lightweight XXIO 12 family of clubs. The woods have what the company calls ActivWing which a descriptive way to label the head shape designed so that air passing over in the downswing helps to stabilize the head for more consistent impact.

The bigger story though is the use of very lightweight materials in all the XXIO 12 family to help players swing them faster for more distance.

“Having a 20-year head start in lightweight technology has been a real plus for us. It has allowed our engineers to focus on incremental improvements and on technologies that best accompany that performance,” said Chuck Thiry, Vice President at XXIO. “We are certain that our players will continue to see big advancements in performance and distance as soon as they hit XXIO 12.”

With a 41-gram shaft and 31-gram counterbalanced grip the XXIO 12 driver weighs just 282 grams, significantly less than most other drivers. Fairway woods have similar weight and XXXIO 12 irons tip the scale between 351-grams and 384-grams.
